عقدت شركة OPES الكندية بالتعاون مع “معهد التأمين بمصر”، يوم الخميس الواقع فيه 01 ديسمبر (كانول الأول)  2022، ندوة تعريفية حول موضوع “قانون الضرائب الأمريكي FATCA  ومعايير التقارير المشتركة CRS التحديات والحلول المقترحة” وذلك في مقر “معهد التأمين بمصر” في القاهرة. 

إفتتح أعمال الندوة كل من السادة الدكتور محمد حسين الدشيش (الرئيس التنفيذي للمعهد)، والسيدة سلام موسى (نائب الرئيس في شركة OPES) التي تخللها التشديد على أهمية الموضوع وضرورة طرحه في الوقت الراهن بالاضافة الى عرض موجز عن برامج وحلول الشركة، ثم شدد السادة على أهمية الCRS الخاصة، بحيث تزيد نسبة الشفافية والتعاون بين المؤسسات المالية في مختلف أنحاء العالم وتتضمن Self-Certification بالإضافة إلى إجراءات العناية الواجبة Due Diligence  التي يجب اتباعها من قبل شركات التأمين والمؤسسات المالية للتعرف على الحسابات المطلوب الإبلاغ عنها.  

إضافة إلى خدمات OPES الرئيسية وخبرتها الواسعة التي يمكن للمؤسسات الاستفادة منها لتسهيل عملها.

هذا وحضر الندوة حوالي 45 شخصا” من مدراء عامين في شركات التأمين وإعادة التأمين، مدراء الامتثال، مدراء تقنية المعلومات، مدراء المخاطر، المدراء الماليين، مدراء التدقيق الداخلي، الوسطاء. 

  

تمكن المشاركون، خلال هذه الندوة، من التعرف على أبرز المستجدات والخطوات العملية  للتطبيق من خلال الإطلاع  علىCRS Due Diligence ، self-certification CRS، بالإضافة إلى الإطلاع علىFATCA solution ، أداة إرسال التقارير إلى وزارة لخزانة الأمريكية والدول الموقعة مع الـOECD FATCA and CRS Reporting tool، وFIREI, KYC and AML Screening. 

  

وفي نهاية الندوة، فتحت سلام حلقة نقاش للرد على جميع الاسئلة والاستفسارات التى ألقاها الحاضرين فى الندوة ، حيث عقدت على عدد من الجلسات العامة خلال اليوم الواحد. كما أعربت عن خالص إمتنانها وتقديرها لمعهد التأمين بمصر على تعاونها، والحضور على كل الجهود لجعل هذه الندوة ناجحة للغاية.

On Thursday, December 01, 2022, OPES in cooperation with the “Insurance Institute of Egypt,” held an introductory seminar on the topic “US Tax Law FATCA and Common Reporting Standards CRS Challenges and Proposed Solutions” at the headquarters of the “Insurance Institute of Egypt” in Cairo. 

 

The seminar was opened by Dr. Mohamed Hussein Eldishish (Chief Executive Officer of the Institute) and Mrs. Salam Moussa (Vice President at OPES Company), during which they emphasized the importance of the topic and the need to raise it at this time, in addition to a brief presentation on the company’s programs and solutions. Then, they stressed on The importance of the special CRS, as it increases the percentage of transparency and cooperation between financial institutions around the world and includes Self-Certification in addition to the due diligence procedures that must be followed by insurance companies and financial institutions to identify the accounts to be reported. 

 

In addition to the main OPES services and its extensive experience that organizations can benefit from to facilitate their work. 

 

Then the working sessions began and dealt with several topics, most notably a general and detailed overview of FATCA & CRS reporting standards, local legislation requirements, comparison of CRS with the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), information to be reported, in addition to implementation: developing a project plan with procedures and best practices. 

 

About 45 people attended the seminar, including general managers in insurance and reinsurance companies, compliance managers, information technology managers, risk managers, financial managers, internal audit managers, and brokers. 

 

At the end of the seminar, Mrs. Salam Moussa answered the questions that were asked by the attendees, and also expressed her sincere gratitude and appreciation to the “Insurance Institute of Egypt” for their cooperation, and the attendees for all efforts to make this seminar very successful.
